Review on 🎙️ OM Digital Solutions Voice Recorder WS-852: Easy-to-Use, 4GB, Automatic Mic Adjustment, SILVER (V415121SU000) by Daniel Bulkley

I currently have an Olympus model DP10 with a broken volume control that only plays at full volume or no sound, so I was looking for a replacement with stop/start/backup/play recordings for the Play back transcription in a simple way, similar to a cassette. I am very disappointed with the performance and playback characteristics of this item. I couldn't find a way to "play back" a recorded file or play the part of a recording that I want to listen to again without playing the entire file. I tried downloading the file to my computer to see if I could play parts of the file there, but I couldn't do the "play" operation either. To be fair I had the recorder in "simple mode" when I tried this procedure and maybe "normal mode" would have more controls and work differently but even if it did it wouldn't convince me, change my mind about this article. There is another problem that mode setting will not fix. After recording the original file and during playback, if the volume knob was turned up far enough to hear the recording, the audio from the tiny speaker was annoyingly "hoarse" and distorted. When I turned the volume down to the point where the raspy sound was minimal, the volume was too low to hear the recording. At that point I decided that this paragraph was unacceptable.
