I tried 1.8mm clear silicone nose pads that fold around the nose/nose bridge to the glass. I decided to try these as they were thinner. They aren't tapered at the ends so I could feel the edges, but that didn't bother me too much. They also seem to put more pressure on the bridge of the nose. which gave me a headache. They are more opaque than transparent. Also, they fell off after 2 weeks of wearing. I usually wipe the area with rubbing alcohol to remove oil which can also cause the pads to not stick. My other nose pads last about a month before I have to change them. I'm going back to my other nose pads which are more comfortable.
