I replaced the stock headlights with a Chevrolet 5500 series chassis and the result far exceeded my expectations. While I don't know the lumen output of these bulbs, they are easily 5x brighter than standard bulbs without dazzling oncoming drivers. After about 2 months and over 5,000 miles of driving it turned out that one of the bulbs was defective. The light went off occasionally, but began flickering like a strobe light during two nights of driving. Suspecting it might just be a bad connection, I opened up the grille and found that the lamp harness had started to slip off. I connected the connector and secured it with a small zip tie to make sure it wouldn't fall apart again. still works fine. These lights got 5 stars for their quality!
