Beautiful appearance but fragile

I received this watch strap which originally came with a faux leather strap which was falling apart. It was a solid replacement to keep the watch and its thin strap. for 7 months. A few weeks ago the leather slip ring fell off and now the main retaining ring is broken. I've worn this watch every day and I wish it would last a full year considering it's "genuine leather" but given its low price I think it's served its purpose for a while .
