The arms and torso are snug, as they should be in a correction garment, and the neck piece is loose enough that you don't feel like you're choking on it, but it doesn't.
I usually wear medium to large sized shirts. I'm a bit busty and have broad shoulders so I took a size up and it fits as expected. The arms and torso are fitted, as befits a shapewear piece, and the neck panel is loose enough that you don't feel like you're being choked, but it doesn't sag either. If, like me, you're between sizes, I recommend going up a size, but if you're always the same size, this size will likely work for you.
