Shared 4.5A USB output can get warm

Great hub for those who need more space to charge all the portable devices in the house. Be careful when using USB ports as the maximum output current is 4.5 amps. (Mostly enough for 2 Apple devices and a digital camera or a low power device). The surge protector is useful to protect your devices. However, the surge protector emits a very low, annoying, high-pitched hum that can be heard when many devices are plugged into it. To reduce this noise and avoid overheating, use no more than 2 USB ports at a time for high power devices and additional ports for everything else.
