Looks good, functionality sucks

I have an older model of the same monitor and to be honest it's much better. This monitor came with much worse sounding speakers and dead pixels (not enough to send it back). Definitely a quality control issue at Dell. That aside, I have to say that the drivers and software designed to make the products perfect for performance-minded people were an absolute nightmare. The drivers that allow you to switch between inputs using keyboard shortcuts as well as go through the keyboard and mouse, making it ideal for those who have 2 computers connected to their monitors, break constantly. I bought these monitors not only for the picture quality, but also for the functionality advantages. While the other old monitor always worked well, I've only recently started remote work and started to take full advantage of the productivity features and the PC Quick Switch feature. I found that the old monitor had problems with it too. The software is updated every few months, but something always breaks, so I have to revert to an older version. It drove me crazy especially for the price I paid. Also a quick note in the title of this product, these are not "gaming monitors" except that you can play games on them. They have low refresh rates and very slow response times. These monitors can play games and look great if your graphics card can keep up, but if you want a true gaming monitor, look for something with a higher refresh rate and better response times. They don't really focus on games, they're just trying to market. Overall, given the price, I would advise against these monitors. The equivalent Samsung/LG models look very similar, but don't be fooled into paying for all the extra bells and whistles that don't even work.

Pros
  • Anti-glare screen
Cons
  • Bad contrast
