Although this media is becoming obsolete, it's still vital for Windows users who need to back up important program files in the event of a system failure, causing your CD drive becomes unusable. The typical Windows home user (who backs up program data to Zip disks, CDs, or tapes) doesn't need more than 10 disks to back up their system. Colored discs are an especially smart way to back up important program files because you can create a more organized backup environment. And Imation's neon colors look cool. In a crisis, spending a few extra pennies on these colored disks will make your life a little easier. My criticism of these discs is limited. First, I would have preferred to have one more disc of each color or the option of buying a smaller single color pack. This would make color coding a bit easier. Secondly, this pack of 10 is clearly unprofitable for particularly active users of this medium. But these are really small limitations. For most Windows users working at home or on the same computer, this is the smartest way to backup essential Windows items (and some third-party utilities) for a rainy day.
