This may seem like a worthless product and when you get it you will definitely feel that it is some kind of cheap fake Chinese cooler. It came with no instructions so I had to take advantage of it. The entire package was the size of a credit card, containing a heatsink, backplate, mounting screws, and two different pieces of thermal grease (one thicker, one thinner). I chose a thinner piece of thermal paste, mounted the whole thing on my SSD and reinstalled it on the motherboard. I wasn't expecting much from this product for under $10, but after about 2 days of testing I can honestly say it makes a pretty significant difference. Under heavy load, my ADATA SSD reached 70-75Β°C after a few hours. After installing this product, the temperature did not rise above 67Β°C for a long time even under heavy load. I would say this product is between 5 and 10 cents depending on the airflow in your case and where you place the M.2 SSD on the motherboard. Mine sits right below my GPU and one of my two front fans also blows directly onto it, so that might help in my situation. Definitely worth the $9 I paid for it. It absolutely helped keep my SSD temperatures down.
