The ELUTENG mSATA SSD to 2.5" SATA adapter is a simple circuit board with a 3.3V voltage regulator for the mSATA card and a SATA data passthrough. Therefore, it works with any standard mSATA SSD. The Design of the adapter is simple and thoughtful The small tabs on the SATA connector fit into the slots punched in the (aluminium) case This eliminates the need for screws to hold the adapter board in the case The two halves of the case fit together and are held by four small screws.Moreover, the adapter comes with tiny screws needed to mount the mSATA card.Even a small screwdriver is included to screw in the case screws and fix the mSATA card.Screws A small complaint I have purchased three of these adapters so far.. Has worked After testing with one With a magnifying glass, I found that the two data pins of the SATA connector were not soldered to the circuit board. Do not solder these pins, indicating a defect in the solder paste screen printing process. So I soldered two contacts myself and now the adapter works. Since the two unsoldered pins touched (or almost touched) the board, the adapter was likely to work during factory testing (if tested at all). Since I was able to re-solder the contacts, the defect didn't bother me, but it might bother others. In general I am satisfied. These adapters are very inexpensive, well designed and work well.
