Looks awfully cheap. I suppose if your first grader went to a pottery party and decorated the finished mug with stickers and paint and came home with it, you could say "well done" with a touch of sincerity. I'm upset that I paid for this and now I worry that the child REALLY did it and I'm contributing to the global problem of child labor. I believe decals were used and then painted over with glue. Some decals are misaligned, brush strokes are visible, paint is peeling, and the "eyeball" looks creepy. In terms of functionality, there is no handle, so drinking hot liquids is not interesting. This. It's not microwave safe (other reviewers have noted that the coating is peeling off) and it's not dishwasher safe. The hole is uncomfortably small to try washing your hands in and drinking out of as well, so I'd recommend using a straw. Or destroy it.
