The image shows the power supply in yellow and black, which usually signifies a heavy-duty, no-frills industrial device. If you work in a commercial business, you know that safe yellow usually means heavy use. This extension is about as heavy as I'm going to paint a piece of metal and be done with it. The yellow body is metal, but the black parts are thin plastic. It's not hard to make someone think of "Heavy Duty". I have a feeling I can drop it from my not very great height and it will break into several pieces. But does it work? I guess so. I've hooked things up to it and they work. I haven't had a chance to test it during a thunderstorm, so I can't speak to the security feature. Bottom Line: If you want a "heavy" look at a low price, this is the deal for you.
