Works well but is heavy

Thetford 92820 Porta Potti 365 is a practical solution when you have to answer the call of nature. The 365 has a higher seat that's a lot easier on your knees when you have to stand up. It has a large capacity, so you can work longer before it needs to be emptied. The downside is that it's HARD when full! We use a small folding cart to transport it from the 'tail tent' to the car, but someone has to lift and remove the cart and then empty it at the drop-off station. We also have Thetford 92850 Porta Potti 320P portable toilet. This is a smaller version of the 365. It holds less and the seat is lower making it harder to get up if you have sore knees etc. Because it holds less, it's easier to handle when it needs to be emptied. Both pots have a hand pump that pumps water around the rim and bowl to flush out any materials. The smaller potti nozzle works well and doesn't force clean water under the seat and onto the seat bottom. We suspect the larger 365 has a misplaced jet, allowing some of the water to seep under the seat and stay around the seat base pan. Pumping water less hard reduces water. Both products contain the smell very well. They also transport well with no leaks. For the collection container I would like to recommend Thetford 10801 Aqua Kem Original. This product continuously breaks down solids in a short time. Excellent at eliminating odors. We tried Camco TST Ultra Concentrated Citrus Flavored Drops. What a disappointment! There was very little hard breakage which made deflation abysmal. There was also almost no odor removal. Every time you opened it to "flush" you were met with a stench like hell! In addition, Camco inserts create a build-up of gas in the waste water tank. One of our porti-pots was emptied and filled with some water and a drop. A liquid "flush" was performed and when the door was opened a jet of gas shot into the urine high enough to spray 7 feet of our bathroom tent ceiling. The person in the tent then had to shower and the urine had to be flushed out of the tent interior. Although we laugh about it now, it's not what you want. Remember when you go to the bathroom at 2 a.m., an awkward situation.
