This French bench press is beautiful, very durable and comes with a few extra accessories that I really like. It doesn't seem to hold heat any better than any of the glass French presses I've used. Also, it's a bit more expensive than I think it's really worth. Overall this is one of the best french presses I have ever used and I have used several so not only do I recommend it but I bought a second one for a friend. In fact, the design as a whole is very similar to every other double-walled liquid metal thing you've ever come across. In addition to the beautiful multicolored finish, the main differences lie in the subtle details. The handle isn't the most ergonomic shape ever conceived, but it's angled just enough to make lifting and pouring more comfortable and natural. Reminiscent of an old-fashioned water pump, the spout proves to be nearly drip- and drip-proof - unlike its glass counterparts, which always seem to suffer from drips and drips. The lid itself is very thick and has a thin but effective sloping spout cutout. Last but not least, the interior is stainless steel and there are size markings on one wall. As an added value mine also comes with extra strainers and a long handled coffee spoon which itself was just a cheap plastic contraption was a nice addition to the overall package.
