is good but a bit messy. But I noticed this because I used to use powder for the roots before. it has some staying power on this skin. I have it on my forehead and I really have to rub it to get it. I would recommend using the card against the scalp suggestion. I used the small brush that came with the kit as well as an unused eyeshadow brush. I found it easier to use an eyeshadow brush. More/faster coverage. I bought brown/black. My hair color is dark cherry chocolate I guess you could tell. I also want to mention that I have a gray color on my part of the line. My natural color is dark blonde/light brown and the hair has grown about an inch in the photo (sorry not before. But you can imagine light roots with really dark hair, right? :/). I also used some hairspray hoping to keep it in place. I probably should have used more. but i hate hairspray and sticky residue. I can still get it under my nails when I scratch. Overall the color matches pretty well, it just takes trial and error. The color is a bit patchy because I think I put more than two colors on the front of the hairline compared to two on the back. it could also be because i. I'm glad I can now go longer between tints and this is the best color match I've found with a temporary root touch up!
