I've had this laptop for a few weeks now. I've talked back and forth about this car but in the end I decided it was good enough not to send it back. The Yoga 11e doesn't look like the ThinkPad I took to work (pre-boom), but it's a decent laptop for what it is. It came from this seller in excellent condition. . No complaints about this repair, it was clean and item exactly as described and delivered on time. I paid $155, buyers are unrepentant, but I don't use it as my main laptop. I got it tinkering with Linux, so I installed about seven or eight operating systems on it. It comes with a valid MS Windows 10 Home installed. I started with this OS just to have a basis for comparison. I wouldn't recommend running Win10 (or any laptop with similar specs) on it, it would drive me crazy. Updates are lengthy cases. It booted quickly with Win10 (SSD required), but the OS just slows everything down. The processors on this machine are designed for economy, not performance. Most Linux distributions will work fine on this computer, with one caveat, but more on that later. I am NOT comparing this to high end laptops, that would be silly because of course it's not as good as a Dell XPS or MacBook Pro. It's an economical car because we don't all have a lot of money to throw around. It's not a terrible laptop, but I can't support it strongly. I think if you are not computer savvy you will be disappointed with this laptop but if you do what you do it could be a functional cheap machine for a student or someone with limited funds but who needs basic computer skills . If you have to ask if you can play Fortnite on it, don't take it because obviously you can't play real games on it because it's not designed for that. I like the keyboard, the keys have a little resistance which I like. Even though it clicks. Screen is ok, touchscreen works fine. It's compact but a bit bulkier and heavier than, say, the Dell 31xx series. The construction feels more solid than that of the same Dell series, if not quite as good as older ThinkPad batteries, with average lifespan at best. I can run 4.5-5 hours on the right settings, at higher settings the power drops to around 3. This is an old machine so the batteries are draining. The one I have says 96% Original. It sometimes freezes for no apparent reason and needs to be restarted. It's rare but I can't figure out why. Shutting down and restarting always solves this problem. Likewise, USB sometimes stops working. Maybe they are disabled for some reason? I don't know, but shutting down and restarting solves this problem too. I was initially very disappointed with Linux because I had expected a Linux computer to boot up quickly due to the SSD. The machine I was playing with was an ancient HP (old Vista I think) that eventually went over the rainbow bridge to the other side. I thought it would be an easy install. Not really. From what I've found on various wikis and forums, this is a Yoga 11e specific issue. Distributions install fine, but at startup the computer will attempt (and fail) the reboot process 5 or 6 times before actually loading the OS, negating the speed of the SSD. I've tried several Debian/Ubuntu based distros (I was dying to run Pop on it!) and Fedora, all with the same result. Then I went to Manjaro which I really like so I don't know why it took so long and it worked. Boot time is less than 30 seconds, Manjaro runs this machine perfectly, hence I give this laptop 3 stars. This is good for Manjaro and vice versa.
