These glasses cause many different opinions. I'll try to bring some clarity (no pun intended). First, remember that these are $25 progressive lens goggles that typically cost many times more than lined single focus or bifocal lenses. are they perfect Not quite, but would you rather pay $175 or more just for progressive lenses plus the cost of the frame? They're great for trying out progressive lenses for the first time, or for having rimless glasses that you can use for close-up photography and watching TV without taking your glasses on and off. Lenses are not perfectly clear. See photo. They have a light grey-purple hue; This is probably to filter out blue light. This is MUCH better than yellow tinted blue light blocking glasses that make you look like you have jaundice. Some note that lenses reflect light on the inner surface of the lens. This is true and may also be related to the blue light filtering aspect. Personally, I might not have noticed if I hadn't read about it, and it doesn't really bother me. I see how it CAN when there is a light behind you that can bounce. Similarly, lenses slightly distort some light sources in the field of view, including some "halo" effects. Size: Some complain that they are "too small". The lens is 48mm wide, a very common size for this shape. I prefer this size because I don't want the glasses to be huge or overpower my face. There are many lenses you can use to see. Frame Quality - I've only recently had mine, but it seems to be quite well made. The loops "snap" when folded, which I like. I have the green color which I really like. I'll live with them a little longer and maybe buy them in brown too. There aren't many good options when it comes to cheap progressive lenses. It is very easy to get spoiled by all the extremely cheap ONE Vision reading glasses. $25 is a lot for a really good pair of glasses that are good enough for most distance and near vision needs. Better than paying for the first pair or more at the optician, or for a pair you can afford to lose.
