UPDATE: 2 months after purchase in the corner next to the locking button the hard purple rubber appears to be peeling away from the bottom of the case exposing the black plastic underneath. It's minor, but I could see it getting worse pretty quickly. At the same time, some threads stick out from the stitching on the outside of the case and fall off, probably due to friction when folding and taking it out of the bag. It is worth noting that, unlike other wallets with magnets for attaching the case, there are absolutely no utensils inside. I have had instances where the outer layer of the case has shown signs of wear such as fading, peeling etc. It's just that the outer material was thick and strong enough to keep it looking new. The texture was different than expected, a bit rougher. But it will help him not slip out of his pocket. Doesn't add bulk to the phone, which is good considering the size of the phone itself. The 3 card slots are great, not too tight so you won't have trouble sliding cards in and out, but not so loose that they can fall out. I didn't put anything in my pocket, but only a few bills fit comfortably in this compartment. Definitely better suited if you usually pay with cards as the account capacity is small (hence the missing 5th star). Protection of the wallet cases and the phone sits securely. I definitely recommend this case!
