Review on πŸ’‘ DiCUNO Dimmable LED Equivalent Replacement for Under Cabinet Lighting by Edwin Kreps

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bright and compatible with Samsung Microwave

Update 26/06/2021: 6 months later the two original bulbs I put in my OTR microwave still work perfectly. No melting issues like some other people here have mentioned for their over-the-range microwaves. (There are still 4 pears in the package that have not yet been touched). I'll make a note though, DiCUNO didn't have an "incompatibility with a light that has a high (full) and low (half) brightness to replace the brightness" warning. When I bought the bulbs and didn't test them, it wasn't there. This "incompatibility" warning appeared some time after the fait accompli. The warning is mainly aimed at all OTR microwave ovens. I'm also not sure if that "deep dimming" bulb came out too. It was never called that when I bought it. (Although I will say they never mentioned these bulbs being good for the OTR microwave when I bought them, all they ever mentioned was the bulbs under cabinets/washing machines. It was my choice.) Try this on the microwave (as you can see in my original). review, I tried this bulb.) So my original 5 star rating still stands. many other reviewers here with different brands of OTR microwaves). But be warned, it looks like DiCUNO doesn't want you to install these bulbs in OTR microwave ovens. So try them at your own risk. Samsung microwave oven halogen bulbs are "out of reach" (model: ME18H704SFS) and decided to try these 40W G8 Dimmable LED Daylight Bulbs, which equals 40W. Well I just installed them (on the day of this review) but they fit in my microwave and leave room (although as stated on the product page your fixture's bulb spacing needs to be checked, these LED bulbs are much larger than the old ones Halogen bulbs.) They are definitely brighter than the old halogen bulbs I replaced with. I'm not sure if they're really equivalent to a 40w bulb as I only remember what a 20w halogen bulb looked like (for comparison) but they're definitely brighter than the ones I've seen before would have. As for the main feature of these bulbs, the dimming function, I'm happy to report that they can dim and not flicker when I turn the microwave on low (at least I can tell). Although visually my microwave low light setting looks like the LED lights are 70-75% bright compared to full brightness. Even the weak one shines brighter at full brightness than the old 20-watt halogen. As a result, the difference between high and low settings hardly differs. (Maybe that's because my microwave doesn't have a proper dimmer). Well, I can't comment on the longevity of these bulbs, but if anything unexpected comes up I'll be sure to update my review.
