I hold both an FCC Amateur Complementary License and an FCC Radiotelephone General Operator License. The threaded collar on the PL-259 fork, as others have noted, is too long. It hits the mating socket before it can be fully tightened. With this plug I was able to move the plug lugs by turning them and thereby push out the ring a few millimeters. Since I'm using them for a pure RF application, it works. However, if it were a transfer request, it would be totally inappropriate. I do not recommend this plug.
