I was a bit skeptical because of some bad reviews. Some reviewers have complained about the quality of the wood. Well, first of all, it's ALL wood. Not solid wood, but solid wood. What does it mean to be solid or solid? Good solid as you think. Solid wood material. All woods are mostly plywood with wood veneer. One reviewer complained of inaccurate material. As you can see from the photo I had no chips/cracks/splinters. The wood finish was perfect. The assembly is very simple. 8 screws, it took me 10 minutes max. The box is small, but do you really plan to use it for storage? It can easily accommodate a couple of remote controls. Even the box was made of wood and finished inside and out.
