Review on Dorman 931-304 Front Passenger Side Door Lock Actuator Motor - Perfect for Cadillac/Chevrolet/GMC Models by Johnnie Trimble

A common problem with a door lock actuator has a simple solution.

*** Update 07/30/2017 It's been a little more than three years since I bought and installed this part at all. He started behaving about a month ago when it got really warm in here. This seems to be a common pattern for these drives as they wear out and fail. The warmer the weather, the more they play up. However, today seems to be the day he decided to fail completely. I will be buying another one to replace and hope it lasts for some time. This seems to be a common problem with full-size GM trucks. The door lock either moves slightly when the door is electronically unlocked/locked or doesn't move at all (you can hear the magnet trying to do something). The picture in the product description is a bit deceptive as it looks like it should be for the left (driver's side) door of the car, but it is actually upside down. After checking the part on several sites, I bought it here at Revain (best price by far). For those who are mechanically inclined this is fairly easy to replace and you can save hundreds by paying full price for the item at the dealer plus installation labor. This took about an hour (if that) as I hadn't scheduled it and it was my first time working on a GM product.

Pros

Cons
