I have about four different outlet expanders but this one has become my new favorite. I use it in the kitchen where it is used to charge phones, headphones and speakers via USB. You can also connect multiple devices at the same time to five AC outlets if you need to. Think about the blender, food processor and coffee maker, but not all at the same time as this will create an overload situation. A feature of this extension is the slanted top, which allows me to hold my phone or headphones while charging, but without the need for the large shelf that some other devices have. The blocks I have with the shelf are good, but it's actually more of a space saver that does the basic job of holding a phone. I uploaded a photo of each. In addition, the device is designed in such a way that you can freely coil the charging cable on the outside so that it does not get in the way. Now they aren't as clean and easy to use as the bulkier shelving units, but they are much more compact as the shelving doesn't protrude when not in use. I like the slanted sides for my kitchen use, the flatter 90 degree sides with outlets in them. The device just feels more compact and requires small power supplies better than a 90 degree device. Finally, the "pilot light" LED that lets you know the device is connected to power is visible, but not as bright as some devices. it's not too dark to see either. Conclusion: looks good, works well.
