Nice little surprise, feels more expensive than it's worth!
Didn't need any installation, it runs right out of the box, it's set up to scan US barcodes then hit enter with a confirmation beep, all of this can be changed by scanning the special barcodes on the included booklet. The scanner fits my hand well, feels smooth and very comfortable, I use mine to catalog my (quite large) DVD collection and I can easily use it continuously for two hours, pain free! I think, and I have no problem reading small barcodes in different lighting conditions around the house.
