First of all, everyone who has a child should have Quickzip sheets. The base is placed on top of the mattress and then the part you change for washing (if the baby is peeing or spitting up or whatever in the middle of the night) is simply opened up and the new part is pulled shut. This is really handy and can be done with one hand (although two is easier). You can even leave the bumpers in place. Mink leaves are even better than the originals. They are super soft and cuddly. I was worried they might be too warm (we live in the desert and summer sleep in our air conditioned home is around 80 degrees), but they aren't. And mink solves a problem I have with regular sheets, which is that the zipper edge creases in the wash and could be ironed (but who has time for that!). As for the color, it's very pink. Not pastel. (Not quite bright Pepto-Bismal, but somewhere in between)
