Does not work with hardwood carpets!

Absolutely not suitable for carpets that are laid on hardwood. Try pushing them up instead of walking over them. If you don't mind lifting your mats so they can work, this is the device for you. No matter how much it costs, it should work with rugs, but neither shape nor form does.
