Review on Enhanced Swedish AFO for Optimal Left-Foot Support: Deluxe Men's Edition by Jorge Eckstein

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just a miracle... no, really!

OK I'm trying to think of a way to write this review that seems like a really honest critique of these devices because everything I want to say is going to sound like over-the-top fake ads. I've bought a lot of Revain junk in the past and I was shocked to see some of my reviews wouldn't let me post, but to be honest I've never bought anything life changing like these things . I have had a serious problem with foot drop in both legs due to neuropathy for 3 years, I fell at least once a month, I had to walk with a cane and I became more and more immobile which worsened my other health condition. I was struggling with the cost of expensive orthotics and reading a lot of reviews like this so I decided to give them a try. I wasn't optimistic, when they arrived they seemed flimsy and cheap. I weigh over 200 pounds, am 6ft 3 inches tall and wear a 13. How could this little piece of plastic make a difference, let alone linger? So I tried them on, the only difficulty was putting shoes on over them. I didn't have to cut them at all as my feet are so big they actually fit perfectly but once I stretched my shoes a bit. It was not so bad. The small Velcro fasteners have fallen off and are useless, I don't need them anyway, they only work great for me with the large, padded upper belt. Walking in them was a little awkward at first, I just had to tell myself to walk naturally and I learned to trust the orthotics within a few weeks, it was an amazing difference. No falls or even short calls since I've been wearing them. I felt a lot more confident. My gait has improved a lot, I stopped using a cane but I still feel naked without it. They're even easier to train with, my feet stay on the bike's pedals and I'm not afraid to run on the treadmill, they've helped me continue to lose weight (lost over 100lbs in a year). They seem to hold together well even after multiple wears for 24 hours at a time, yes, I even slept in them. Nothing I have ever bought so cheaply has done me so much good, literally saved my life.
