With my TV on an articulated wall mount (like most) I can't believe how much time I've wasted already fitting the soundbar perfectly right up against the wall align under the TV with as little distance as possible. only to see how the soundbar's plastic mounts have sagged a bit after a few months and you can now see the uneven paint gap on the wall behind. It just makes more sense to mount the soundbar to the TV using the same standard VESA mounting holes on the TV. Not to mention the soundbar, HDMI and even the power cords, which are much cleaner and tucked away behind the TV and also more accessible when you unplug the TV from the wall mount. Oh, and no dowel holes in the drywall! The only minor annoyance is trying to line up the soundbar's mounting holes with the curve of the mount. Of course, you must completely remove the TV from the wall mount to install these mounts first. And next time I'll put the TV upside down or on its side (also upside down) when attaching the soundbar as you can scratch the floor with those metal clips protruding from under the TV.
