I noticed a lot of hair breakage on the sides and decided to give it a try. They seem to be working. They keep my pillow cool and I don't turn it over at night anymore. The only 2 cons are 1) I sometimes scratch my hand on the zipper when I put my hands under the pillow when I roll onto my stomach. It's uncomfortable but never a serious scratch and never bleeds. 2) Don't stack two silk pillows on top of each other to sleep on your side. The top one will fall off. I switched to 1 silk pillow and a cotton pillow and that solved the problem. That hasn't stopped me from using these pillowcases and I can wash one while using the other.
