I have a chest port that needs to be flushed every 3 months for maintenance. Since Covid started I flush my own port at home and buy all the supplies I need to make it safe and sterile (also had a CMA so a medical background was important). Unfortunately I had sensitive skin even before the port and after having post port complications and having to deal with Tegaderm dressings over the stitches - the skin in that area is very poor, it's a very sensitive area with excess scar tissue. I had to find bandages to use and they really worked! I didn't have an allergic reaction! It didn't stick to my skin so much that I had to use alcohol to remove the bandage! I apply a bandage right after washing it off and change to a fresh bandage 24 hours later. To be on the safe side, I don't make a new bandage on the sides in the same place. I have a hospital bag, what does it look like, whenever I have to go to the hospital, it's already packed and ready. I will buy a box of these to put in this bag and stay in this bag. My skin in general is very sensitive and bad, 5 minutes with a cloth bandage causes hives, itching and bleeding literally everywhere.
