Overpriced rubbish that is misleading and unsafe. Daughter is afraid of the pot!

I try not to second-guess products for children as their usefulness largely depends on the child. However, this product has fallen down the rankings 10 days after purchase and I can understand why. It was very easy to set up and ignite, but the casing has a very high overhang on the fender, which makes it difficult for my child to sit properly on the chair. She sits on the "step" because it's more comfortable. I understand that this is partly because she is restless, but this is extremely abrupt and will prevent the child from learning to sit if she is not in an ideal position with her back relaxed and having a hard time with her sensitive parts in come into contact. My daughter doesn't even want to try to sit on it because when she sinks in all she feels is that and it scares her and we don't want to force her to potty 'properly' and have more bad associations wake up . She went from being enthusiastic about the potty to distrust and fear. A lower, more curved frontal guard would help a lot. Another important issue is the "step". It's by no means a solid one, or more importantly, a stepping stone. It's a cheap piece of plastic that's probably at an angle of 75-80 degrees, and its only really useful function is to serve as a proper base when the pot is set up in its base on the ground. Otherwise it is completely useless and only gets in the way when you try to fold down the storage pot with the mentioned high pointed front fender. The child can not use it in any way to go to the toilet and bowel. The seat also didn't match our very standard oval toilet when we put it on to see how it would fit. He was constantly shifting and never seemed safe. The "ladder" was too short. I'm mad I spent $50 on a cheap piece of junk that makes the hard work of potty training so much more difficult. This was supposed to be an investment for my child and I need to buy another product. As mentioned, I don't like giving 1 star reviews on baby/toddler products, but due to the awful step, overly sharp fender, instability, misleading photos and higher price I feel it's warranted. We bought this as an investment and are now unable to get a refund as the box is suffering water damage due to the shipping box being abandoned due to a major snow storm.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
