I bought this kit for metal joycon locks only. You hold the joycon perfectly on the switch and the right joycon works as usual. The left is not very good. I would give it 3 stars but I still use my switch in manual mode so it's not too much of a problem for me. The one on the left is a little harder to turn on and off the switch. It takes more effort to put on, okay, but it practically takes more effort to take off.
