I was concerned about being able to install this little device myself - although many said it was easy - but I gave it a try and YES it was simple and easy. Using the Acronis software available on the WD website (free if you buy a WD hard drive) and an inexpensive SATA adapter ($7 or less), I got everything from my old hard drive to this new one in less than an hour cloned. - This was the only option as I had a refurbished laptop with no Windows installation disks. Also, cloning is much easier than reinstalling the operating system + all your programs. Now I have a reliable laptop with a hard drive with plenty of storage - and I'm very happy - and I did it myself - priceless!
