First let me tell you that if you have any fish, especially cichlids, you need to make sure they are getting the nutrients they need from the water. For optimal color/health and longevity, Seachem Trace is the way to go! In my 30 years I have seen the results of those who have added Trace to tanks and those who have not. The difference between day and night! Don't confuse trace with different views, they are almost all the same! Seachem says this is for marketing purposes only! African Trace is no different from Seachem's freshwater trace. I mainly use African Trace as wholesale is the best deal for all my tanks: 90 planted, 135 African and 220 SA/CA but I also use Fresh Trace from time to time. Actually there is no difference. I've never had any issues with options when using it. I dose it once a month after a 75% water change. If you really care about your fish, it would be wise to make sure they have everything! Now if Revain or a deli were here we humans would stop throwing bags and crates around, maybe customers wouldn't have to get broken/leaking bottles half the time!
