I initially thought this was a great device that gives a good idea of the cost of leaving different lights and using different lights. But for a few weeks it would crash when it rained and I ended up having to reinstall it about 3 times (a process that takes about 2 hours and several iterations). Within a year he lost all communication and I wasn't sure what happened as the ads were still working. I ended up replacing the batteries in both the transmitter and receiver and within 2 weekends I was able to successfully reinstall them (yes it takes a long time). When daylight saving time was changed, I made the mistake of changing the time on the receiver without reading the manual. I accidentally restarted the receiver and after 1 hour of trying to re-sync the transmitter and receiver I was desperate to ever get it to work without spending half a day reinstalling the whole thing. It's a good idea, but in the end I just decided it wasn't worth it anymore.
