I bought several of these to use with sealing wax. My experience is that they run hot for this purpose, and you might want to try finding one with a lower heat setting for this, which might be hard. I used it with the Telosma wax sticks (which for some reason I cannot review) and had a very bad experience. I had to experiment several times for figure out how to get them to take an impression and not peel off, which was not my experience with other sealing wax. You need to squeeze out the wax, let it sit for 15 seconds, dampen the seal on a damp sponge, then leave the seal sitting on the wax for two minutes or more until the wax completely cools, or it will peel off the paper. And you must do this with a completely cool stamp.As far as the glue guns themselves go, they are cheap if you need several of them, and I would expect them to work well with regular glue or glitter glue sticks, which should not be used as sealing wax.
