Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Afterglow Prismatic LED Wired Controller for Xbox One - Multicolor by Justin Albright

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well, buttons are smooth

Controller works well, buttons are smooth. The sensitivity is also good. I haven't had this controller in a long time, so I don't know about durability/heavy use. I use it to play PC games from time to time (maybe once a week or every two weeks). The controller itself is transparent. It's a bit slippery than the Microsoft Xbox controllers, but that doesn't bother me. If someone has a lot of sweaty hands, maybe that could be a bigger problem. I like that the cable is long enough that I can sit on the couch when my computer is connected to the TV. The cable is strong too. It's thicker than the cable that comes with the Microsoft controllers and doesn't have as many kinks when I wrap it around the controller. In the picture on the left is the controller I received from Revain. The LED lighting inside is a little disappointing. It's literally 4 lamps in a row in the middle. I adjusted the color to bluish green and it still looks nice. The controller on the right is a prismatic afterglow controller, also from a PDP I bought from Sam's Club a few months ago. This controller has a much cooler lighting scheme - that's the right light that goes around the perimeter of the controller. Another difference is the user-facing side of the controller (the ledge just below the navigation bar and right stick). The one I got from Sam's Club has black edges and the one I got from Revain is transparent and a little less rounded. It shouldn't bother much in use as my hands don't usually touch that side. The only difference I could find between the controller packs was that the Revain pack was copyrighted 2018 and the Sam's Club pack was copyrighted 2016. Perhaps these differences were just changes to a newer version. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the looks. All in all still a good controller.
