I started using a copper water bottle about a year ago. I got it as a Christmas present from a friend who had just returned from India. I was so impressed with how fresh my water stays in my copper bottle. I once left it at a friend's water place for a couple of weeks. With most bottled water, the water smells very foul. The water still smelled fresh. I understand that in India all drinking water is stored in large copper tanks and I understand why! This is a very high quality copper bottle. I'm really impressed with how well the cap fits and they even include a second seal that fits on top of the bottle cap. The first time I clean, I use hot water with a little lime juice and salt. Shake it with this mixture and leave it on for a while (a few minutes will do), then rinse the bottle. You can do this from time to time if you feel it needs cleaning. I love this bottle and am so glad I now have two copper bottles. This bottle is really high quality, I love the curved body of the bottle and would highly recommend it if you're looking to try a copper water bottle.
