VERY VERY THICK!: Accessories and Consumables

In the photos, this braided cable looks just like regular charging cables. However, in real life it is very thick - about 3/8 inch in diameter! (see photo) I am in an apartment without built-in ceiling lights. So *aside* from carpeting (an insanely annoying design challenge in itself), I also have to deal with lighting rooms exclusively with lamps. I bought this extension cord to run from the wall under the sofa. Under the sofa it is planned to place sockets for table / sideboard lamps, as well as a charging cable for phones. I bought this light-colored cable to match the carpet between the wall and the sofa. However, it's so big that no matter *how* you get the color of the cord onto the floor, it's going to be pretty obvious and require clear clips to attach it. Attach it to the moldings/baseboards and will probably need a mat over it as well. In my opinion it is better to use a conventional extension cord. They are much thinner and lie flat. (This one is round.) I'm going to switch to a traditional brown and beige extension cord in my living room. Returning this item is not worth the hassle. I'll find another use for it, maybe in the bedroom or in the office. Seems to be a solid and quality construction. But again not suitable as a design solution.
