Forget about anti-fog for now. Not a single mirror fogs up; It is a fundamental property of smooth surfaces that they fog up when wet and at different temperatures. The reason this mirror works is because of the rope and its light weight. The mirror is made of plastic, but reflects clearly and correctly. Hanging from the included hook means you can detach it and hold it under water to even out the temperature a bit. This makes it less foggy, although drops of water quickly form on it. I use my shower scraper to wipe it off from time to time. The included "rope" is actually about 5 feet of nylon paracord, so it holds up well and shouldn't rot. It also has a plastic clasp if you want to tighten it. Includes a metal hook with adhesive tab to hang the mirror when not holding it. Overall, it works as well or better than any other shower mirror I've used. Again, it's NOT fog-proof, as fog-free is impossible without some kind of high-tech coating or something. How does the mirror work? Its best feature is that it is very light and easy to hold or hang around your neck. I love the fact that I can just hold it under my chin to watch my neck being shaved and I don't have to stretch my neck like a wall mount. To be honest I think the price is a bit high for what you get (I'd rather pay $10 for metal or glass) but what's there works well and I like it.
