You can also configure the mouse after you set the mouse and keyboard preferences. The mouse will not work without the Unifying software, so the mouse is connected to the Logitech USB Unifying receiver. This means any Logitech mouse or keyboard compatible with the Unifying receiver will work. Logitec has many mice and keyboards that support this, so buy them and then all you have to do is find a device that's compatible with the merging receiver. Very happy with the purchase.
