Our old remote worked fine except for the on/off button which has become increasingly difficult to use over the last 3 years (5 years ago). was . old TV). I tried to find a replacement remote at the time but didn't have it in stock so we've been practically breaking our fingers turning it on and off ever since. Recently the on/off button stopped working so we turned it on manually on the side of the TV but it was difficult to get out of bed to turn it off. Thankfully, unlike 2 or 3 years ago, this replacement exists now and works like a brand new remote, as other reviewers say, with no programming required. And at a price of under $9, which is very good. Looks the same as the old remote except it doesn't have the TV's branding on it, but who cares. 5 Stars
