You NEED this if you have a 64oz iron water bottle (maybe other brands but I don't know how well it works with other brands). it COMPLETELY deadens the sound the bottle makes when lowered and protects it from scratches and dents. Boot after putting it on the bottle, lift one side of the boot after putting it on and press the bottom of the boot to push the air out. After that it is perfectly sealed. I learned the hard way after it happened to me many times**
