Review on KitchenAid KHBBV53DG Cordless Blender Charcoal by Sheila Smith

Exactly what I wanted so far

Bought one of these for my birthday. I don't really need it, but I'm on the mend. I wanted this because I hate the cord on hand blenders that I've used for years. SO I owe it to convenience. It's almost perfect. It would have been ideal if it had a whisk attachment and variable power, but that's great for $80. I tried Cuisinart and it seemed bulky and complicated to me, plus it had the dumbest locking knob configuration. You had to bend your hand to press and hold one button while pressing the other to unlock it. You had to do this every time you stopped and started mixing. Stupid. This? A webbing strap between the thumb and forefinger holds the locking button, and the index finger toggles the mix on and off. Everything is easy. (Why is there a locking button in the first place? It's battery operated, so if you leave it in the drawer and press the button, it'll work in your drawer. Obviously, there's no need for a wired one.) Be prepared to be bigger and bulkier than wired, but needed because of the batteries, but that's a small price to pay for a more enjoyable experience.
