Toasty! Bought LavaSeat to watch soccer games. Microwave as directed for 2 minutes on each side. When you first use it, it feels toasty and great on the cold stalls. But by the end of the game (1.5 hours) the seats aren't heated at all. It is stated to hold heat for up to 6 hours. Understand that the time depends on the conditions but I think it can take at least 2 hours in Texas where it's not as cold as other parts of the country. Even if it stops retaining heat, it can serve as a pillow, so having it is better than not having it.
