Toasty! Bought LavaSeat to watch soccer games. Microwave as directed for 2 minutes on each side. When you first use it, it feels toasty and great on the cold stalls. But by the end of the game (1.5 hours) the seats aren't heated at all. It is stated to hold heat for up to 6 hours. Understand that the time depends on the conditions but I think it can take at least 2 hours in Texas where it's not as cold as other parts of the country. I have used these products for many years and have a good understanding of how to use them. The inserts are from Vesture and have not been changed in years. I'm frustrated because the last three I bought leaked heavily when they shouldn't have. Only the last one I can bring back to Revane. For the other two, I'll probably call Vesture and ask that the inserts be switched. If I heat the insert less than the recommended time and then heat for a minute six or seven hours later, it SHOULD NOT leak.

I bought two of these and intend to use them for cooling purposes only (I currently live in Southeast Asia where it's always hot). I froze the earbuds on a tray overnight and then carried them in an insulated bag for the three hour drive. When we arrived at our destination, there was a puddle of "water” at the bottom of the thermal bag. Upon closer inspection, the "water" smelled of something reminiscent of Elmer's white glue. and one of the LavaSeats got soaked when I took it out of my pocket.
