This sweater is ideal for layering! Sleeves are a little long, but it is quickly remedied by flipping the cuff back.Some reviewers have complained about pilling after a few uses, but I am afraid that is just the nature of wool. The grey is noticeably itchier than the rust sweater, but yet again, it is the nature of the beast.When paired with a vest or a light jacket, this sweater keeps out the chill like a champ! I was pleasantly surprised when wearing it in winter in Wyoming. It kept me very warm despite the wind. This sweater performs well as a middle layer, not a base layer.
