I bought this because I suspected I had atrial fibrillation. I had irregular heartbeats, shortness of breath and tightness in my chest. However, when I was examined in the hospital, I had a normal rhythm again. Yes. In the middle of a pandemic! The doctors in the ER just treated me like I was scared, which is annoying because I know for sure I'm not. I found this little device and decided to entrust my care to my own hands. The app is very easy to use and syncs with the iPhone. The device itself is very small, so you can take measurements anytime, anywhere. You'll see the results instantly on your phone so you know exactly what's going on. It tells you what rhythm you are in, your heart rate and whether it is normal or not. I also purchased a Kardiacare membership so a cardiologist can read my EKGs. In addition to the indications, there are other advantages, but that was the deciding factor for me. I needed confirmation to show to a cardiologist as my atrial fibrillation was not permanent. It turned out that I have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Episodes appear suddenly without warning and sometimes last for several hours. This device has saved me several trips to the emergency room. I simply print out the readings and take them with me to my appointment with the cardiologist. This helped him fine-tune my treatment regimen. LAUGH OUT LOUD! I didn't take anything for AF before I got the Kardia mobile device. Needless to say I love my little EKG and it's so easy to use. You can even set medication reminders so you don't forget them. I am very glad that I found the Kardia Mobile ECG and that it is always with me. It is small enough to carry in a very small purse. I keep mine in my meter box and never leave the house without it. I would highly recommend this device to anyone with arrhythmias and especially those with atrial fibrillation.
