Review on WHITIN Minimalist Barefoot Sock Shoes: Non Slip Water Shoes for Women & Men - Multi-Purpose & Ultra Portable by Michelle Langley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Powerlifting Walking General Use

1. This is a sock shoe. They are meant to fit snugly around your foot like a sock as the rubber soles stretch to accommodate the width of your foot. I usually wear a size 8.5 in Vans with extra toe room so I ordered an 8. They fit well without socks, they fit even better with normal cotton socks. Some users claim that the socks allow their feet to slide inside the shoe, which makes sense if your sock material is a nylon blend. The knit material allows the upper to breathe and of course the rubber retains heat as it is not breathable. However, I can't imagine that when you exercise or exercise you want to reduce blood flow to your feet so they're cool, you want them to be warm and ready to root your toes, etc. which you're supposed to be, especially in the sun get very hot but that is the nature of the material and if you warn with absorbent cotton socks you should be fine if you sweat.3. I've worn them on a few short walks and I love them. I won't be running 12 miles on broken glass anytime soon, so for my purposes of walking around campus and using them at the gym, I don't see any performance issues. I will update this rating with lifespan after a few months of use.4. For lifting purposes, this is exactly what I was hoping for. The rubber outsole compresses under weight for a very flat and grippy base, and the knit material allows my toes to splay for stability. The big test was on the sumo deadlift and I was pleased that there was no outward slippage of the sole and no slippage of the material (WHILE WHILE wearing cotton socks). For general use like walking around the house/neighborhood, running errands or using at the gym they seem like a killer deal and I already have another pair on the way. Forget the proverbial elevator, just buy them and save $40.
