later. Good bed but you may burn yourself if the filling is not in the middle. My old cat spends all day in it. I noticed that she had a laceration on her stomach (red, a bit wet, right where she had most contact with the heating pad). I looked at the bed and sure enough, all the filling had gone to the edge and the only thing between the heating pad and the cat was a cloth cover. As a vet, I diagnosed the burn from prolonged exposure to a heating pad. My recommendations 1. If you know you will forget to keep an eye on it, do not use it with a high temperature. I recommend cutting the cord or removing the heating element so you're not tempted to use it. A severe burn can last for a very short time. When the heat is high enough.2. Check the padding frequently and adjust if necessary (every few days). Look under your pet to see how hot it gets after sitting there for a while. 3. Add extra padding. In particular, a thick layer of quilting or chair padding .that is less likely to split and migrate. This is what I will do and I will update
